John is an award winning contemporary landscape artist who has been painting professionally since 2004. Having an absolute passion for painting, John’s work is evolving from the impressionistic to expressive landscape, that at times borders on the abstract.
The gallery shows a variety of quality original oils which are often updated, making return visits worthwhile. You will be invited into the studio to see work in progress, limited addition prints and the numerous works in storage that are still searching for somebodies wall to imbue.
In 2009 John and his wife Lydia, decided to move to Mount Compass where they designed a purpose built home, studio and gallery. Here John works, teaches and displays his paintings. Along with this they have developed a beautiful garden, which adds to the experience when visiting.
The gallery is open most days from 11am - 5pm, but it’s worth a call to check, as occasionally going out to paint or other life necessities may impact on these times.
